Annicke Shireen

Annicke Shireen is an independent artist whose music blends ethereal beauty with raw intensity. Known as the lead singer of the Dutch witch rock formation SHIREEN, and as a performer in HEILUNG and PURE REASON REVOLUTION, Annicke began releasing music under her own name in 2021.

With solo releases like The SERPENT and the follow-up EP DEMONETTE which featured the music video for “UNDO”. Annicke established a signature sound marked by enchantingly haunting vocals, heavy riffs, and emotionally charged lyricism. Collaborating with acclaimed drummer Koen Herfst and incorporating subtle electronics, she continually explores the depths of human emotion through her music.

Her upcoming third EP, The Chariot, set to release on November 21st, is a five-track journey rooted in themes of self-worth, healing, and transformation. Staying true to her witchrock aesthetic (a fusion of powerful rock and a dark mystical atmosphere) Annicke delivers heavy, evocative instrumentals layered with angelic vocals. Each song unfolds as a chapter in a larger narrative of empowerment, urging listeners to reclaim their strength and create a life they love.

Beyond music, Annicke is a multi-disciplinary artist who has long produced her own tracks, visuals, stagewear, and music videos. With a strong creative vision guiding every aspect of her work, she continues to evolve as both a musician and visual storyteller.
